Our Story
The Stukie Motsa Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2016 in Mbabane, Eswatini. Founded through the vision of Executive Director and Founder Senator Dr Stukie P. Motsa, the organization is dedicated to creating socially acceptable conditions, building self-esteem, and supporting individuals with albinism and their families. We operate legally under the registry of business within the Ministry of Commerce to advocate for the needs, recognition, and protection of people with albinism.
Reason for Formation
The foundation originated from a theatre play project in Eswatini that exposed the harmful myths, attacks, and illicit trade of body parts targeting people with albinism. Recognizing the urgent, around the clock need for support and advocacy, Senator Dr Stukie P. Motsa spearheaded the effort to transition from a single theatre production into a registered non-profit organization.
The foundation was formed to achieve key long-term objectives:
Eradicate Harmful Myths: Eliminate societal discrimination, misconceptions, and violence directed toward individuals with albinism.
Education & Awareness: Conduct workshops, theatre productions, and community outreach in schools, churches, and legislative bodies to transform public attitudes.
Empowerment & Resources: Assist individuals with albinism in establishing income-generating projects and provide necessary amenities.
Data & Media Reach: Conduct population surveys to build a centralized database, launch a website, and publish free quarterly magazines to share accurate information.
International Impact: Evolve into an international humanitarian organization that advocates for structural inclusion
